About

OpenAIRE National Workshop in Poland (2020), organized as part of the OpenAIRE Advance project, will be devoted to the implementation of open access policies in Polish scientific institutions. The event is intended for open access representatives and/or coordinators appointed in institutions that have adopted or are preparing to adopt such policies.

The first part of the OpenAIRE National Workshop will take place on June 8, 2020. Due to COVD-19 it will be held as online event on the ClickMeeting platform. The second part will take place in the Fall of 2020.

The event is organized by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling (ICM UW), a data science facility established in 1993. Open science initiatives at ICM date from as far back as the end of the 20th century, with first deployments in the area of mathematics and natural sciences. Now ICM runs the Open Science Platform that is active not only in the area of open access to articles in all disciplines, but also provides services for data sharing, organize workshops and functions as the National Open Access Desk for Poland.
